The Godfather grey ghost elephant in Etosha, Namibia, by Peter Delaney

The Godfather | Grey Ghost of Etosha Canvas Print | Peter Delaney

from $500.00

Matte Canvas – Stretcher Size:

Framed/ Unframed:

The Godfather. Etosha, Namibia. Four metres. Four tonnes. Pale as cement. He stood at the waterhole, raised his trunk filled with red Kalahari dust, and in one fluid movement sprayed his forehead. For a single moment, he disappeared into a cloud of light and earth.

On archival matte canvas, his presence softens without losing its weight. The textured finish draws out the warmth of the red dust and the golden light of Etosha.

Your presentation — optional floating frame:

Black Oak — striking, contemporary
Brown Elder — warm, earthy
White Maple — bright, modern
Natural Maple — cool, understated

✓ Ready to hang — hand-stretched on solid wood ✓ Free worldwide shipping ✓ Ships in 10–12 days, insured and trackable

"Witness the desert's phantoms. The grey ghost elephants of Etosha, their skin coated in the region's pale clay, materialize from the haze to quench their thirst—a silent, powerful ritual at a lone waterhole."
