Elephant Oasis | Monumental Acrylic Masterpiece

$9,800.00

✓ Three-time Wildlife Photographer of the Year
✓ Hasselblad Masters Finalist
✓ Printed on museum-quality archival materials
✓ Arrives ready to hang · Ships in approximately 30 days, insured and trackable

Northern Kruger. A hidden waterhole beneath ancient trees. Still, cool, untouched. A small group of bull elephants arrives in silence. The lead bull steps forward, mud-dark, tusks short and worn, skin etched with river clay. Behind him, other bulls settle into the water and shade, drinking, bathing, resting. One sinks deep into the pool. Another sprays wet clay across his flank. Another stands half-asleep beneath the canopy.

At 240 × 160 cm (94.5 × 63 in), this is not a print. It is a presence.

Face-mounted on 4mm crystal-clear acrylic, the image sits within the surface rather than behind glass, bringing every texture of skin, water, and earth forward at monumental scale.

Presentation: Monumental acrylic. Frameless with clean, polished edges. Optional slimline aluminium frame in Black, White, Silver, or Gold.

"Each print is carefully reviewed before it leaves the studio to ensure it meets the standard the work demands." — Peter Delaney

Into the Wild — Elephant Oasis | The Story

Close your eyes. Now open them. You are here.

Deep in the far north of Kruger National Park, beyond the roads travelled by most visitors, lies a secluded oasis known only to a handful of people. It was here that I waited.

The afternoon was still, broken only by the rustle of leaves and the distant calls of birds. Then, almost without sound, they appeared. A small bachelor herd of bull elephants emerged from the bush, walking with the quiet confidence that only giants possess. There was no urgency.

One by one they entered the water, drinking deeply before drawing cool mud across their bodies with practiced ease, an ancient ritual repeated through countless generations, bringing relief from the relentless African heat.

The lead bull slowly turned towards me. His ears spread wide, each crease and tear telling the story of a life lived in the wild. Behind him, the others remained completely at ease, trusting the silence of the moment.

I never felt like an observer. For those few precious minutes, I felt accepted. Not hidden. Not ignored. Simply tolerated in their world.

Moments like these cannot be planned. They are given. It is earning the opportunity to witness wild Africa exactly as it has always been.

Collector Stories

Reflections from collectors who have welcomed Peter Delaney's artwork into their homes around the world.

"

After some delay, I finally had 'Bonds of Love' framed and placed on my bedroom wall, a gift from my husband for our 50th wedding anniversary. He passed away not long after, and two years on, this photograph continues to comfort me. It is the first thing I see every morning, and it gladdens my heart.

This is not a photograph hanging on a wall. It is a window into something vast and unhurried.

Queen of the Mara has occupied a central place in our living room since 2020. It helped us feel connected to the world at a time when we... weren't.
