Witness the quiet confidence of a young elephant beginning his journey across the plains of Amboseli.

Into the Wild — Young Tusker | The Story

There is something deeply moving about a young elephant finding his place in the world.

Not yet the giant he will one day become, but already carrying the quiet confidence of something ancient.

Young Tusker was captured in Amboseli as this young bull followed the matriarchal herds toward the life-giving marshes, walking with purpose beneath the vast African sky.

What drew me to this moment was the balance of strength and gentleness.

His tusks, already beautifully formed.

The soft curve of his trunk.

The quiet detail of his eyelashes against weathered skin.

There is a tenderness to young bulls that often goes unnoticed, standing somewhere between youth and independence, still learning the rhythms of the herd and the demands of the wild.

In black and white, the image feels timeless to me, less about a single elephant and more about a journey unfolding.

A future giant.

A quiet presence.

A reminder that even the strongest among us begin somewhere.

Collector Stories

Reflections from collectors who have welcomed Peter Delaney's artwork into their homes around the world.

"

After some delay, I finally had 'Bonds of Love' framed and placed on my bedroom wall, a gift from my husband for our 50th wedding anniversary. He passed away not long after, and two years on, this photograph continues to comfort me. It is the first thing I see every morning, and it gladdens my heart.

— Sally, Johannesburg

This is not a photograph hanging on a wall. It is a window into something vast and unhurried.

Queen of the Mara has occupied a central place in our living room since 2020. It helped us feel connected to the world at a time when we... weren't.
