"Size selected is the final paper size with a white border. Final dimensions may vary slightly to preserve the original image ratio."

A moment of raw power, preserved.

Mountain Zebra National Park. A highveld storm rolling across the Karoo, where cobalt skies collapse into gold and the land holds its breath beneath towering cloud.

This print is something more than a landscape. It is a record of atmosphere, scale, and the brief collision between light and weather in one of South Africa's most elemental regions.

Printed, signed, and shipped by Peter in South Africa on museum-grade archival fine art paper — smooth cotton rag.

✓ White border, hand-signed by Peter Delaney

Into the Wild — Storm Over The Karoo | The Story

Close your eyes. Now open them. You are here.

For days, the Karoo had waited.

The earth was dry. The air was still. The vast landscape seemed suspended between seasons, holding its breath beneath an endless sky.

Then everything changed.

On our final afternoon in Mountain Zebra National Park, dark clouds began building on the horizon. Thunder rolled across the plains. Lightning split the sky with a force that felt almost biblical.

What had been a landscape of silence suddenly became a theatre of light, shadow, and raw energy.

I stood watching as the storm swept across the Karoo, transforming the familiar into something extraordinary. The immense skies that make this region so special became the story itself, layer upon layer of cloud, rain, and light stretching to every horizon.

Moments like this cannot be planned. They cannot be repeated.

You can only stand there, camera in hand, and be grateful enough to witness them.

This is Storm Over The Karoo.

A fleeting moment when the heavens finally answered a land waiting for rain.

Have you ever witnessed a storm that stopped you in your tracks?

Collector Stories

Reflections from collectors who have welcomed Peter Delaney's artwork into their homes around the world.

"

After some delay, I finally had 'Bonds of Love' framed and placed on my bedroom wall, a gift from my husband for our 50th wedding anniversary. He passed away not long after, and two years on, this photograph continues to comfort me. It is the first thing I see every morning, and it gladdens my heart.

— Sally, Johannesburg

"

This is not a photograph hanging on a wall. It is a window into something vast and unhurried.
