Introducing “Storm over the Karoo”, a fine-art print that captures the raw beauty of the Karoo landscape under a dramatic thunderstorm.
The vast open spaces and endless skies of the Karoo have always inspired me, and this image is the culmination of a long-held dream. During a trip to Mountain Zebra National Park, I witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime storm unfold—dark, tumultuous clouds rolling over the parched land, lightning splitting the sky, and thunder reverberating across the plains.
This print brings that moment to life, allowing you to experience the drama, power, and stark beauty of nature in one breathtaking scene. It’s a rare and unique piece, perfect for collectors seeking to own a piece of nature’s extraordinary artistry.
Bring the Karoo into your home and let the storm’s energy inspire you every day.

Into the Wild — Storm Over The Karoo | The Story
Close your eyes. Now open them. You are here.
For days, the Karoo had waited.
The earth was dry. The air was still. The vast landscape seemed suspended between seasons, holding its breath beneath an endless sky.
Then everything changed.
On our final afternoon in Mountain Zebra National Park, dark clouds began building on the horizon. Thunder rolled across the plains. Lightning split the sky with a force that felt almost biblical.
What had been a landscape of silence suddenly became a theatre of light, shadow, and raw energy.
I stood watching as the storm swept across the Karoo, transforming the familiar into something extraordinary. The immense skies that make this region so special became the story itself, layer upon layer of cloud, rain, and light stretching to every horizon.
Moments like this cannot be planned. They cannot be repeated.
You can only stand there, camera in hand, and be grateful enough to witness them.
This is Storm Over The Karoo.
A fleeting moment when the heavens finally answered a land waiting for rain.
Have you ever witnessed a storm that stopped you in your tracks?
Collector Stories
Reflections from collectors who have welcomed Peter Delaney's artwork into their homes around the world.
After some delay, I finally had 'Bonds of Love' framed and placed on my bedroom wall, a gift from my husband for our 50th wedding anniversary. He passed away not long after, and two years on, this photograph continues to comfort me. It is the first thing I see every morning, and it gladdens my heart.
This is not a photograph hanging on a wall. It is a window into something vast and unhurried.
To have one of Peter Delaney's images in your home is your connection to a world few of us will ever experience, and a connection to nature and the earth that is truly rare.
Queen of the Mara has occupied a central place in our living room since 2020. It helped us feel connected to the world at a time when we... weren't.
Each print carries its own story, creating a lasting connection between the collector and Africa's wild places.
