Najin | Last Of the Northern White Rhino
Najin is one of the last two remaining northern white rhinos (Ceratotherium simum cottoni) in the world. She, along with her daughter Fatu, resides in Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. Born in captivity in 1989, Najin is now a symbol of the critical plight facing her subspecies.
The northern white rhino population was decimated by poaching for their valuable horns, leaving only a handful of individuals by the early 2000s. Despite conservation efforts, including armed guards and the removal of their horns to deter poachers, the northern white rhino population continued to decline rapidly.
Najin and Fatu are under constant surveillance and protection to safeguard them from poachers. Efforts to save the northern white rhino have included innovative reproductive techniques, such as in vitro fertilization using stored northern white rhino genetic material and surrogate southern white rhinos.
Najin's story highlights the urgent need for conservation action to protect endangered species and preserve biodiversity for future generations.

Equivalence: Giraffes in Harmony
In the heart of the Masai Mara, a masterpiece of nature unfolds. A black and white fine art print captures the essence of five giraffes gracefully traversing the savanna in the aftermath of a summer storm. The sky adorned with lingering clouds sets the stage for this extraordinary scene.
Picture this: a diagonal procession, the giraffes' long necks and elegant legs moving in perfect harmony with the gentle breeze that rustles through the tall grass. No trees interrupt the horizon, allowing the beauty of the giraffes and the landscape to take center stage.
As the middle giraffe halts, a mesmerizing symmetry emerges. It fixes its gaze upon you, the photographer capturing this ephemeral moment. Two companions on either side continue their diagonal journey, creating a scene of perfect balance and serenity.
The wind plays with the long grass, adding a dynamic element to the composition. It's a dance of nature — giraffes, grass, and clouds, each element contributing to the timeless elegance of the Masai Mara. This fine art print invites you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of this extraordinary encounter, where the beauty of simplicity is captured in every detail.
This title aims to reflect the concept of "equivalence," emphasizing the harmony, balance, and deeper meaning captured within the image of the giraffes as described in the accompanying text.
Lion | Lake Nakuru | Kenya
On my recent photo safari in Kenya, my client and I stumbled upon a lion pride, peacefully dozing by the side of a dirt road. While we hoped for the Lake Nakuru cliché image of lions resting on the branches of a Fever tree, this encounter held its own magic. As the sun dipped below the horizon and the first raindrops fell, a young male stirred from his slumber. In a mesmerizing moment, he sat up, turned, and locked eyes with my lens—a fleeting yet captivating gaze that I managed to immortalize. After a few graceful stretches, he joined the rest of the pride, their collective attention fixed on potential prey in the nearby distance.
Zebra Baby | Sheltered
: "Sheltered Beauty" is a black and white fine art print that beautifully captures the tender bond between a zebra foal and her mother amidst the pouring rain.
This stunning portrait reveals a zebra foal, adorned with rain-kissed fur that glistens in the downpour, adding a mesmerizing texture to her delicate coat. As the rain cascades, it weaves a magical tapestry over the foal's mane, creating an ethereal aura around her.
Beside her, the mother zebra gracefully grazes in the rain, unperturbed by the weather. With each movement she makes, the foal follows closely, seeking shelter under her mother's protective presence. The mother's gentle guidance allows the foal to position herself, using her as a shield against the falling raindrops.
This touching moment encapsulates the innate instinct of maternal care and the unwavering bond between parent and offspring in the animal kingdom. "Sheltered Beauty" immortalizes this tender scene, a testament to the love and protection that mothers provide in the wild.

Kruger Tusker | Bull Elephant
I hadn't found a Tusker after three days, despite driving hundreds of kilometers and spending countless hours at waterholes. But not everything was in vain. I did get to see two magnificent "Tuskers" though. I discovered them digging for water in a dry river bed with their feet and trunks, and as the water bubbled to the ground, a small pool formed, and the Bull elephants would drink or spray their massive bodies with mud.
I had a feeling they'd leave eventually. I predicted where they would emerge from the steep River bank, and when they did, I was ready to photograph the "Tuskers" in their natural habitat.
There is nothing better as a wildlife photographer than predicting where the subject will emerge… and you are ready and waiting to press the shutter to capture the beauty and power in a fine-art portrait of a magnificent Tusker

The Matriarch | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
I hadn't noticed her at first because she was facing us. My heart began to race, my senses were heightened, and a wave of excitement washed over me. I'd always wanted to photograph an elephant with long tusks, but I assumed it would be a bull. I'd never seen a female elephant with longer tusks than this matriarch.

Heart Of Darkness | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
Standing alone in the presence of a Kalahari black mane lion, one can't help but feel a primal fear take hold, even as they try to reassure themselves that they're safe. That unsettling feeling lingers, deep in the mind, even after the encounter has passed. Capturing the raw power and awe-inspiring beauty of these magnificent creatures in a photograph is a remarkable feat, and a print of a Kalahari black mane lion is a piece of art that will leave a lasting impression on any viewer.
Norman | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
The Kalahari Lions of Tswalu
The Kalahari black-maned Lion is named Norman, not a very exciting name, and he and his brother, well, actually his cousin, called Zwaai were a very successful coalition at Addo Game Reserve in South Africa. Norman was born in Addo in June 2008, and Zwaai in August 2008; they shared a father, Jack, but a different mother.
Weathering the Tempest | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
The excitement and raw emotion I felt while photographing translated from colour to monochrome. Without colour to lead the viewer's eye, I have to use a tonal range of light and shadow to walk the viewer through the photograph so that all the elements play a vital role in creating an engaging black-and-white art print.
Lions | Heir to the Throne | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
Introducing "Heir to the Throne," a breathtaking photograph capturing the majestic presence of a Kalahari black mane lion and his young cub. This stunning image was taken at the Marataba Game Reserve in South Africa, where the wild beauty of these creatures thrives.
In this photograph, the lion pride's male sits in a regal pose, exuding power and dominance, while his adorable cub stands in front of him, looking directly at the photographer. The contrast between the cub's innocence and the pride male's strength creates a captivating image that is sure to impress.

Whether you're an animal lover, a wildlife enthusiast, or a lover of fine art, this print is a must-have for your collection. Elephant Ridge | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
This is one of my favorite wildlife prints of elephants. I love elephants, and I think most people do. So I was a bit frustrated when, after a week, I could not find this herd. It was on my last day of safari when I came upon them. I was annoyed, as I could see from a distance that they were leaving a waterhole. But it turned out to be a very serendipitous moment, as they turned and walked in my direction. The waterhole was at a higher vantage point than I was. Which meant I could bet on this unique point of view. * The most amazing black and white prints for sale.
Elephant Family-Ubuntu | Beautiful Fine Art Prints
My black and white print of the Elephant Family, titled "Ubuntu," is a stunning work of art that captures the beauty and majesty of these incredible creatures. The group of adult and young adult elephants surrounding the baby elephants in the centre is a powerful image that conveys the strong social bonds and family values that elephants are known for. This print is not only visually captivating but also carries a meaningful message about the importance of community and family.
The title of the print, "Ubuntu," references an ancient African philosophy that emphasizes the interconnectedness of all people and the importance of community. The word ubuntu, which comes from the Zulu and Xhosa languages, can be translated as "humanity towards others" or "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity." This philosophy is reflected in the loyalty and strong social bonds of elephant families, which makes them a symbol of trust, loyalty, and family bonding in many African cultures.
As a print that captures the essence of this African philosophy and the beauty of the Elephant Family, this work of art would make a wonderful addition to any collection. The title, "Ubuntu," and the inclusion of the text about the philosophy and the meaning behind the Elephant Family make it a piece that is not only visually striking but also carries a powerful message.
Fever Tree Leopard
Fever Tree Leopard
"Encountering a leopard is an incredibly rare and breathtaking experience. Imagine stumbling upon this majestic creature deep within a Fever Tree Forest, perched gracefully on a branch, then elegantly strolling along its massive bough - it's truly a bucket list moment. As I watched this exquisite feline navigate the branch with such grace, I found myself silently pleading to the photography muses for success. Capturing this awe-inspiring moment in a fine art print felt like a quest to do justice to the sheer beauty of the sighting."
Leopard on the Prowl | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
I like a few photographs of the leopard, but this is my favourite. Any photographer who has had the good fortune to photograph leopards understands how difficult it is to capture something unique. The most common leopard photos are of leopards sitting in trees, climbing trees, or in close-up portraits. It was a bucket-list moment to see this leopard walking across a massive branch of a Marula Tree (I believe). The perspective or angle is perfect, with no branches in the way of the face, and a raised paw with a little blur to show movement, but the head is nice and sharp and in focus. The branches form a beautiful frame around the leopard, and the massive branch takes the viewer's eye out of the frame. The autumnal leaves on the sides create a natural vignette and texture and pull the eye towards the subject.
*Salayexe (Female} Leopard was a well know and legend in the Sabi sands/ Elephant Plains of Greater Kruger Park, South Africa. She was born in 2005, and I met her in 2009. She was a spirited female as you see by the snarl when I photographed her. She gave birth to cubs named Nsele, Rhulani, and the well-known Tiyani. Salayexe passed away on August 18th, 2017, and an autopsy revealed she died of chronic pneumonia and an inflamed liver. This remarkable female leopard will live on forever, not only through her cubs but also through photographic prints like this that have captured her spirit and essence.

Tower of Giraffes | Stop and Stare
This is one of my favourite monochrome fine art Giraffe prints. I sometimes struggle composition-wise with giraffes. But on this particular day, the Giraffes were terrific models. Each Giraffe seems to have his or her signature pose. A portrait photographer could not have wished for more. I was so thankful. I had the easy job of clicking the shutter. A wonderful wild animal portrait in black and white.
This black and white fine-art print of a tower of giraffes is a stunning portrayal of these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. The open flat expanse of dune and grass in Etosha National Park provides a beautiful backdrop for the giraffes, who stand tall and proud amidst the wispy clouds above. The monochrome palette adds a timeless elegance to the image, highlighting the intricate patterns of their fur and the grace of their movements.
As a fine art print, this image is sure to make a striking addition to any collection or home decor. The combination of natural beauty and artistic flair makes it a standout piece that will capture the attention of all who view it. Whether displayed in a living room, office, or gallery space, this print is sure to inspire awe and admiration.
Queen of the Mara | Wildlife Fine Art Prints
Elephant Fine-Art Print
The "Queen of the Mara" died of natural causes. As heartbreaking as this news is, it is the natural order of things. Her daughter, "The Matriarch," will carry and pass on her mother's genes. It was an incredible experience to photograph this “Queen” and capture her spirit and essence in a fine art print that will be kept forever.
March of the Bull Elephants | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
Excerpt from my field notes
“This was my one chance, and I may never see this many huge bull elephants together again.”
I composed the photograph in my viewfinder and waited. I needed one thing to make the image work—the lead bull elephant to open and flap its ears. As the elephants approached, they began to fill my frame, and then the lead massive bull flapped its ears to cool down. I pressed the shutter, and my heart jumped for joy”
Queen of the Mara and Family | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
The Queen of the Mara and her family graze on the African Savannah; it is hot and humid. The clouds roll in, and the oncoming storm will offer respite from the heat. The Matriarch has the most impressive tusks that I have ever seen on a female Elephant. She is calm and serene and pleasure to be in her company.
Elephants in The Mist | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
Elephant in the Mist | Large Wall Art
Beautiful Black and White Art Print of a Bull Elephant grazing under an acacia tree, Masai Mara sunrise.
Masai Mara is one of the most popular wildlife photography destinations in the world. If you have ever been to this amazing wildlife area you will understand. The Masai Mara has the most plentiful array of wild animals in Africa. The Masai Mara is a massive area of grasslands but there are areas where trees are found. It was one of these areas that I happened upon at sunrise as we drove on our morning safari. A bull elephant was grazing close to acacia trees. It was just a matter of time before the elephant turned sideways to make a pleasing silhouette.

Hyena Juvenile Portrait | Wild Art
Despite their reputation as scavengers, hyenas are actually skilled hunters and will often chase down and kill their own prey. They are also very opportunistic and will eat just about anything they can get their jaws on.
Hyenas are found in a wide range of habitats throughout Africa and parts of Asia. There are four species of hyena, including the spotted hyena, the striped hyena, the brown hyena, and the aardwolf.
"The Gaze," | African Wildlife Zebra Print
Introducing "The Gaze," a breathtaking addition to Delaney Fine Art that encapsulates an intimate moment with a zebra foal amidst the gentle rain. In this fine art black and white print, the foal stands facing away, embraced by the serene downpour, before turning to cast a captivating glance over her shoulder.
As she pivots, a breathtaking scene unfolds—the focal point of this striking photograph is her soulful eye and delicate eyelashes, impeccably detailed. The intricate play of light and shadow creates a mesmerizing interplay within her gaze, drawing you into the depth of her soul.
The foal's mane stands erect, adorned with raindrops that glisten against the monochromatic backdrop, framing the focal point of her captivating eye. The intentional blur that gently softens her form directs the viewer's attention to the exquisite details of her expression, while her distinctive black and white stripes stand out boldly, a testament to the zebra's inherent beauty.
Each detail—each raindrop-kissed strand of her mane, every texture etched in her fur—adds to the poignancy of this moment captured in time.
"The Gaze" serves as an invitation to delve into the essence of this remarkable creature, a testament to the unparalleled beauty found in nature's subtleties. It embodies the artistry of the natural world, offering a glimpse into the grace and allure of the zebra foal's enigmatic expression.
"Widowmaker" | African Wildlife Fine Art Photography
"Widowmaker"
The Cape buffalo is an incredibly majestic animal with a distinct appearance, including a large and powerful build, massive curved horns, and a thick and shaggy black coat. The buffalo is known for its aggressive and unpredictable behavior, earning it the nicknames of "widowmaker" and "black death". Despite this reputation, the Cape buffalo is a symbol of strength and resilience, and your portrait captures this essence perfectly. If you're looking for a unique piece of art to adorn your walls, consider purchasing a print of this stunning portrait. It is sure to make a bold and impressive statement in any space.
Elephant Velvia Sunset | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
I adore black-and-white prints, but some photographs are only effective in colour. This Bull Elephant grazed on the outskirts of Namibia's Etosha Pan. The sunrises and sunsets in winter are spectacular. The lower atmosphere is full of sand and white dust, creating a red/orange sun, And an evening mist descends, creating a beautiful ethereal glow... the silence is almost deafening... the Elephant has stopped grazing and, like me, watches the last rays of the day and Velvia glow wash over us.
